University of Cambridge
The Sutton Trust Summer School in Modern Languages offers a unique opportunity to improve your skills in a foreign language (or two) and to find out if this is something you would like to do at university. Together with other students from around the country, who share your passion for languages, you will be interpreting - and translating - texts by Camus, Kafka and other authors. You will also learn how to analyse texts and discuss their linguistic properties, interpret films, e.g. by Almodovar, and works of art. There will be lectures, seminars, and small classes to ensure that everybody can participate. You will have access to the Modern Languages Library for private study. And you will be staying at one of the Cambridge colleges so you can get a real taste of what academic life is like.
