What is political power? Who has it? What do they do with it? Who should have it? We’ll explore power across several dimensions (economic, persuasive, and military) and across several levels (from the local to global) throughout the week. You’ll be asked to take part in interactive exercises relating to current political and global events. In the group project, you will produce a poster to tackle the big questions covered during the week.
Why do European languages matter? Well, because they’re not just spoken by Europeans, but by people around the globe! Join our programme and you’ll find that studying a language isn´t simply about learning grammar and vocabulary, but a gateway to exploring the world and understanding different cultures through literature, film and more. Delivered in English, the lectures will be followed by an interactive taster session helping you try out a brand new language in a fun and relaxed way. You do not need any language experience to participate. For the group project, you’ll research a cultural topic, including tasting some foreign specialities. We look forward to meeting you.
