Modern Languages: The Sutton Trust Summer School allows you to develop your current language skills as well as exploring new languages not previously studied at school. During the summer school, you will have the opportunity to explore the different aspects of learning a language including culture and literature. Through lectures and practical workshops led by academic staff you will get sense of what it would be like to study Modern Languages at degree level.
Psychology: The study of Psychology answers questions such as: "how do we remember things?"; "what are the roles of inheritance and experience in determining mental abilities"; "how do nerves transmit information?"; "how do we perceive colour?"; "why does conflict occur between social groups?"; as well as questions about pathology, like "how does brain damage affect memory?". During the Summer School, you will explore various aspects of Psychology taught at The University of St Andrews. Through lectures and tutorials led by academic staff you will get a sense of what it would be like to study Psychology at degree level.
