University of Warwick
Engineering and computing are shaping our everyday lives from smart phones to electric and autonomous cars, and from medical devices to manufacturing robots. During the week you will have the opportunity to experience both Engineering and Computer Science by getting involved in mini projects such as developing a simple AI algorithm or 3D printing a simple product. We will look at the wide range of applications of computing and engineering, including intelligent vehicles, biomedical engineering and smart sensors. The week does not require any prior knowledge of programming or engineering and is an opportunity to try things out for the first time. You will gain a practical insight into what it is like to study Engineering or Computer Science and you will experience the wide range of skills that are developed during these courses.
