Sharpen your mathematical thinking, develop your computational skills and learn how to make better decisions. In a mix of workshops, problem-solving sessions, lectures and computer labs you will explore the world of the mathematical sciences and how they help to solve real-life problems. You will experience mathematical modelling to describe and explain real-world phenomena, learn how to turn data into actionable information and practice how to summarise and communicate the results effectively. By combining mathematical thinking, creative problem solving and computational skills you will learn about the mathematical sciences, including computer science, mathematics, statistics and data science.
