I applied to the program after I applied to the Hull-York WP program and despite getting rejected from there I was accepted...Why did you apply for the programme?
My mother’s family owns a dairy farm in Ireland and I’ve spent many summers on the farm. I want to become a vet and specialise in equine medicine. I applied because I wanted to experience university life at the Royal Veterinary College and get more practical experience.
What were your highlights of the programme?
One of the highlights of the programme was that I learned how to turn sheep for the first time. It was hard but fun to do because I didn’t realise how strong the sheep were! I gained confidence in meeting new people and gaining knowledge on how to research and present different topics. I enjoyed working with different teams of people.
