As a leading Earth Science Department with researchers and teachers of the highest international calibre, Earth Sciences introduces summer school participants to wide study options available to students at Durham. We are living through a time of unprecedented change on Earth. Scientific understanding of geological hazards, sustainability, infrastructure, climate change, energy, and natural resources has never been so important, and Earth Sciences sit at the heart of the debate. Students will also have the opportunity to network with current lecturers and PhD students within the Department.

20 PROGRAMME PLACES
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
A-Levels, or equivalent, must include at least two science subjects, which can include Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Geography, Economics, and Biology or Psychology.
Please note, that if you are interested in applying for Geophysics as your programme of study, you will need to be taking Maths or Further Maths.
