Durham University
The Summer School will give participants a taste of how it feels to be a mathematician, and an opportunity to visit the exciting world of creating mathematics and discovering mathematical truth. The sessions are run in a lively, interactive way, helping every participant on their journey to broaden the horizons of their knowledge. We plan to discuss a variety of topics which may include mathematical induction, Dirichlet's principle, and invariants to name just a few. Students will also have the opportunity to network with current lecturers and PhD students within the Department.
