The Mathematics and Physics stream at the University of Bristol provides an excellent opportunity to focus on areas of applied mathematics that are most linked to physics, such as the mathematical modelling of physics problems, quantum mechanics and random matrix theory. You will also cover areas of Physics and experience our state of the art research facilities. Mathematics and Physics is one of our many flexible degree courses which you can learn about during the week. This stream is suitable for those interested in studying single honors mathematics or physics, or a combination of the two subjects

This stream is suitable for students studying Maths and one other maths-subject science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Maths, Economics or Computer Science) at A level, Higher or equivilant. All our Physics degrees require you to take Physics and Maths at A-level or equivalent
A face to face two day Residential Summer School will run in the week beginning 2 August 2021. This is optional and will be dependent on government issued Covid-19 restrictions. Participants must attend the Online Summer School in July in order to be invited to the face to face residential.
