Everything around us involves Chemistry, from the making of new materials to understanding biological systems, the food we eat, the medicines which keep us healthy, ensuring the purity of the water. Chemistry is a vibrant and exciting central science that borders with biology, physics, mathematics, medicine and geology. During the Summer School, you will explore various aspects of Chemistry taught at The University of St Andrews. Through lectures and practical workshops led by academic staff you will get a sense of what it would be like to study Chemistry at degree level.
This is an Option 1 subject. You can choose one subject from Option 1 and Option 2. You cannot choose Medicine as both options.

You should be studying Chemistry at Higher, A-Level or equivalent and one other one other subject from the following: Biology (or Human Biology), Computing Science, Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Physics. |
