Everything around us involves Chemistry, from the making of new materials to understanding biological systems, the food we eat, the medicines which keep us healthy. Chemistry is a vibrant and exciting science that borders with Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Medicine and Geology. During the Summer School, you will explore various aspects of Chemistry taught at of The University of St Andrews. Through lectures and practical workshops led by academic staff you will get a sense of what it would be like to study Chemistry at degree level.
This is an Option 1 subject. You can choose one subject from Option 1 and Option 2. You cannot choose Medicine as both options.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
You should have a National 5 or a GCSE in English and Mathematics.
You should be studying Chemistry at Higher, A-Level or equivalent and one other one other subject from the following: Biology (or Human Biology), Computing Science, Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Physics. |
