Understanding patterns and structures, and developing the tools with which to analyse them, it the primary focus of all mathematics. Whether the patterns relate to physical or biological phenomena or to the structure of mathematics itself, the primary aim is to describe, categorise, and understand the processes involved. Studying Mathematics and Statistics at the Summer School will give students the opportunity to explore the various aspects of mathematics and statistics taught at The University of St Andrews. Through lectures and practical workshops led by academic staff you will get sense of what it would be like to study Mathematics and Statistics at degree level.
