Teacher reference deadline

Your teacher will be asked to verify details of your application, but your application will not be negatively impacted if they do not respond. You may be asked to provide another teacher.

If you meet our Sutton Trust Online criteria, you will be offered a place on the Sutton Trust Online Core programme.

If you are no longer able to attend the dates of the course to which you are accepted, please let us know as soon as possible.

Steps to apply

Before you apply, make sure you have reviewed our eligibility criteria. The application must be submitted online and should take 10 - 15 minutes. Once you have started, you will be able to save and return to the application at a later time if necessary. You will be able to edit your application once it has been submitted until the deadline passes.

After you've submitted your application, If you need to make any more changes after this point, please email [email protected] with the correct information as soon as possible.

Browse the courses and universities on offer. You can only apply to for one course, so make sure you select your top choice and ensure you will be available on the dates. Remember all travel costs are covered by the programme, so you don’t need to worry about the distance. Please check you meet the subject specific course requirements.

In order to register, you will need to confirm you are in the correct year group, have always attended a state-funded school, and are not enrolled on another Sutton Trust programme. Once you have entered your information, you will be sent a link to create a password – don’t forget to check your spam folder!

This can be either a current or past teacher, as long as they will be able to verify your grades, and details on your background. They will receive a request as soon as you submit your application, and you will be notified once they have verified your applications. Please note, once verification is complete you will no longer be able to edit your application. Please contact [email protected] with any changes that need to be made.

If you’re unsure about applying, just do it. There isn't just one type of student a university wants - if you love your subject and you're ambitious, you're the type of student universities wants. As cheesy as it sounds, believe in yourself. The only way you 100% won't get a space on a programme is if you don't apply.
