The School of Education’s aim is to foster internationally excellent research and teaching, working on the most important and critical issues in education, and enabling scholarship to play a key role in advancing debate, informing policy and shaping agendas. The Summer School introduces students to the varied and exciting field of Education and is perfect for those who are interested in studying the principles of Education in addition to one of their A Level subjects at University. This summer school strand also provides students with the opportunity to explore the Primary Education degree, as well as the Education Studies programme. Students will also have the opportunity to network with current lecturers and PhD students within the Department.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
No specific A-Level subject requirements.
Please note, If you are interested in applying for Education Studies with Psychology as your programme of undergraduate study at the university, Grade 5 or above in GCSE Maths is required. To study Primary Education students must have achieved grade C/4 or above in English, Mathematics, and a Science subject at GCSE (or equivalent). If you are interested in applying for Primary Education as your programme of undergraduate study at the university, applicants are required to pass the QTS Skills in English and Numeracy. Offer is subject to Enhanced DBS check and interview. |
