Computers are everywhere. We use mobile phones, TVs and cars that include large amounts of software. Almost everyone has a computer in their home and many people enjoy playing computer games. These systems all rely on advanced computer science. When you study Computer Science, you will learn about the fundamental principles of the science as well as advanced techniques that are used for practical systems development. During the Summer School, you will explore various aspects of Computer Science taught at The University of St Andrews. Through lectures and practical workshops led by academic staff you will get a sense of what it would be like to study Computer Science at degree level.
This is an Option 1 subject. You can choose one subject from Option 1 and Option 2. You cannot choose Medicine as both options.
