University of Glasgow
On our Common Law stream you will work with leading academics, attend lectures, tutorials and workshops which will give you a taste of some of the subjects you will study as a first-year law student at the University of Glasgow. Students will take part in a moot and work in our mock courtroom, leaving with a good understanding of what to expect from studying a law degree. The study of law at the University of Glasgow dates back to 1451, the year the university was founded. More recently, the University of Glasgow’s Law course was ranked 3rd in the UK in the most recent Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide. Please note that this stream is for students who wish to study Common Law and intending to practice in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and will not be relevant for students wishing to study Scots Law.
