Entry requirements

*These entry requirements relate to degree entry 2025 and could be subject to change for future application years.

Students should be studying 3 A-Level subjects which include Chemistry and Biology.
English language or Welsh language at GCSE grade B/6 or an equivalent.
Six other GCSEs including grade AA/77 in Double Award science or Biology and Chemistry as separate subjects, or equivalent qualifications (level, subjects and grade).

We do not accept Critical Thinking, General Studies, Citizenship Studies, or other similar equivalent subjects.”

This Summer School will give you a unique and exciting insight into a Dentistry degree at Cardiff University. You will experience how Dentistry is taught at Cardiff, including a chance to practise clinical skills and visit the dental hospital.

You will meet key staff from the academic school who will be able to offer advice and guidance on how to create a strong application. Current Dental students will be alongside you for the duration of the Summer School, offering their perspective of what it is like to study at Cardiff and their experiences of successfully obtaining a place on the course as well as tips to make the most of your experience as a student.

With sessions on student support, student finance, societies and sports on offer, you will get a realistic all round experience of what life as a Dental student at Cardiff is really like.
