As a leading Earth Science Department with researchers and teachers of the highest international calibre, Earth Sciences introduces summer school participants to wide study options available to students at Durham. Housed in a state-of-the-art building with bespoke facilities, the Department enables summer school participants to study a range of topics within Earth Sciences and usually facilitates a field trip and lab work element to the programme to showcase to students the depth of study on offer at Durham. Students may also have the opportunity to attend tours and network with current lecturers and PhD students within the Department.

15 PROGRAMME PLACES
A levels, or equivalent, must include at least two science subjects, which can include Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Economics, Psychology, and Geography. Biology and Psychology taken together count as one science A level and another science is also needed.
