Durham University
During the summer school, students will be given a taste of what learning a language and its culture means at University level. Students carry out a variety of tasks, all with the final aim of giving an insight of what makes people from different cultures “tick”, and building confidence in using language. Previous summer schools have been run predominantly in French. However, we welcome applicants who have studied other languages at A-Level too. Students will also have the opportunity to network with current lecturers and PhD students within the Department.
