University of Cambridge
The Summer School aims to bring awareness about Chemical Engineering and its importance in addressing many challenges such as sustainability, environment, energy and healthcare. The course will explore a broad range of topics from manufacture of products and affordable clean energy, to concepts relating to climate change and good health and wellbeing. The aim is to illustrate how Chemical Engineers can play a key role in a range of sectors and industries. During the programme you will have an opportunity to watch a series of pre-recorded lectures and podcasts which will look at some of the current research highlights at the Department. The Summer School will also include an important interactive element with live practical workshops led by our researches, experts and graduates in industry for students to have an opportunity brainstorm and apply what they have learned and put chemical engineering skills into practice i.e. problem-solving and innovating to help tackle the biggest global challenges in energy and environment, sustainability and healthcare. Students attending the Summer School will develop an insight about the subject and more importantly what Cambridge has to offer in terms of an undergraduate experience of studying Chemical Engineering.
