University of Cambridge
This strand of the Sutton Trust Summer School will introduce students to University-level English. Over the week, you'll attend a series of lectures and seminars designed to introduce a wide range of new and exciting material. We'll also help you understand the structure of the course here at Cambridge.
Lectures will be delivered by English Faculty lecturers, and seminars will be held by experts in each field. We'll be learning about a range of poems, plays, and novels.
There will be reading sent to you in advance of the summer school, and you should expect to spend some time before August reading a Shakespeare play, a novel, and some poems. We will provide copies of this material but you need to commit to reading it before attending.
