Mathematics

This is a highly academic course where you will be engaging with new content. You should be ready to explore new topics and be challenged throughout the week.

The week will include:
• Lectures on a variety of topics, previous years have included sessions on combinatorics, mathematical biology and theoretical physics.
• Interactive workshops.
• A taste of small group supervision sessions.

You should apply for this subject if…
• You are interested in exploring mathematical concepts outside of your school curriculum.
• You would like to develop your mathematical thinking skills.

You shouldn’t apply if…
• You do not currently enjoy maths or further maths in school.

You will leave the week with:
• An increased awareness of what studying more advanced mathematical concepts would be like.
• A better idea of the admissions process for a maths undergraduate course including the STEP admissions test.
