Art History is an intellectually stimulating discipline that embraces a huge variety of subject areas. From economic, social and political history to philosophy; from languages and literature to psychology, Art History is the study of the things that make us human. St Andrews students studying Art History go on to use their knowledge and skills in many different careers – in the law, media, and retail sectors; in subject-specific areas such as art gallery and museum work, publishing and art trade, heritage management and conservation; even art therapy and teaching. At the summer school, you will attend lectures and pratical classes given by academic staff at the top of their field and learn all about what it would be like to study Art History at degree level.
