Studying in Scotland's capital city, you will be at the heart of Edinburgh's legal centre with the highest courts in Scotland just minutes away. Edinburgh Law School is one of the biggest in the UK and was recently ranked top 20 in the world (QS 2023). Edinburgh has been training some of the finest legal minds for over 300 years and is renowned worldwide for excellence in teaching and research.

While the programme is grounded in Scots law, you will develop your skills and knowledge in the academic and practical sides of various law practices. Throughout the summer school, you will work with world-leading academics, professionals and current students to advance your knowledge through lectures, tutorial discussions, and fascinating group project work. You might even get to don legal robes and try out your new skills during a mock trial in our very own moot court room! Previous summer school topics include social media law, tax law (using Jaffa Cakes and flapjacks!), medical law and ethics, environmental law, commercial law, and mental health law.
